Action Step 7: Increase grants from existing and new funding sources.  Work with providers to identify gaps and lift barriers.

The need is real, read the news release (February 9, 2010)

Organizers are also seeking donations of the following items, which will be shared with homeless guests at the event:

  • Coats

  • Sleeping bags

  • Hats / gloves / scarves

  • Backpacks

  • Children's clothing

  • Socks (new only)

  • Hygiene products, such as shampoo or soap (new only)

 Items can be dropped off at any St. Vincent de Paul donation center and must be clearly labeled "Project Homeless Connect."  St. Vincent de Paul Store Locations:

  • 2345 W. Broadway Street, Eugene

  • 1880 W. 11th Avenue, Eugene

  • 705 Seneca Road, Eugene

  • 201 Division Avenue, Eugene

  • 555 High Street, Eugene

  • 4555 Main Street, Springfield

  • 2315 Highway 101, Florence

Any donated items besides those listed above will be given to St. Vincent de Paul to support their homeless programs and other charitable activities.

Online Gift Registry: Purchase new items for Project Homeless Connect guests online! They will be handed out the day of the event. To view the gift registry:

1. Go to www.walmart.com/wishlist
2. Scroll down to "Find A Wish List."
3. Enter the information below into the boxes:

4. After it searches, you may enter the Wish List by clicking on "Project Homeless Connect."
